Sheila Whittaker
Sheila Whittaker trained as a professional violinist at the Royal College of Music and spent nearly twenty years in the classical music world before retraining as a sound healer. She now specializes in using large, high-quality Paiste gongs in her sound-healing work. She trained under Simon Heather, principal of the College of Sound Healing, and later studied under Don Conreaux; she is also a traditionally trained Reiki Master. Whittaker is a longtime course tutor for the UK College of Sound Healing, running its Gong Practitioner Training course annually and previously serving two years as the Colleges Chairperson. She has written two books, Sound Healing with Gongs: A Gong Book for Beginners (2010) and In the Heart of the Gong Space: The Gong as a Spiritual Tool (2012), and recorded three gong CDs: Transcendence, Quantum Transformations, and Sounds of Stillness.
