Welcome to the September Monthly
Welcome to September at Sacred Ground. As summer softens toward autumn and the equinox draws near, this is a month of gathering in — of ancient wisdom carried home from across the world, of harvest both outward and inward, and of new faces joining our community.
Inside, you’ll find Rose’s return from Egypt, ancient Tibetan relics newly arrived, new practitioners to meet, workshops for the turning season, and a few reflections to carry you toward the quieter months ahead.
Thank you for being part of our Sacred Ground family.
What We’re Drawn to Across the World
I have often wondered what draws us toward ancient places and the sacred objects they leave behind — perhaps the feeling that wisdom can live within the things people have touched, carried, and prayed over for generations. In Berlin I found myself holding ancient Tibetan relics, including a prayer wheel, feeling the quiet weight of all that had come before me: the devotion of other hands, other lives, prayers spoken centuries ago.
I brought them home to Campbell Street because that is what Sacred Ground has always been for me — gathering meaningful things and making a place where their stories and energy can continue to be experienced. There is something powerful about bringing a piece of an ancient lineage into our community: not to possess it, but to honor it, learn from it, and let it become a doorway into something deeper.
These places and sacred objects can feel like portals, inviting us to remember that we belong to a story much older and larger than ourselves.
Now autumn arrives with the equinox and its brief, beautiful balance of light and dark. The harvest is not only what we gather from the earth; it is also what we gather within ourselves — the wisdom earned through experience, the healing that follows difficulty, the intentions that have quietly taken root. So before we rush ahead, it is worth pausing on a gentler question: not what do I want next, but what have I already become? As the days turn inward, perhaps we can do the same, carrying forward only what nourishes the soul.
Until next month, you can find more reflections and discoveries in the Sacred Ground Observatory.
Tomorrow is another day.
Rose and the Ankh
Returning Renewed from Egypt
Rose’s recent journey through Egypt was far more than a visit — it was a profound spiritual homecoming. Standing upon ancient ground near the tomb of Tutankhamun, she listened to what some describe as the earth’s sacred song: a mysterious, resonant sound arising from the land itself. Rose was even able to capture a recording of the experience on her phone, preserving a remarkable moment she will never forget.
One of the most powerful parts of her pilgrimage was an intimate visit inside the Great Pyramid. Accompanied by her husband and only a few others, Rose was given rare space to experience the pyramid’s extraordinary stillness and natural resonance without the usual crowds. Within its ancient chambers, she received what she describes as miraculous downloads, new activations, and a deeper connection to the wisdom and symbolism of the ankh — the ancient Egyptian emblem of life.
The journey has brought an exciting new dimension to Rose’s already rich spiritual practice. Her work weaves together Reiki, the loving presence of the angels, and the sacred feminine teachings of Mary Magdalene. Now, the energies and insights she encountered in Egypt have become part of that tapestry, strengthening and expanding the healing work she feels called to offer.
We are deeply happy to welcome Rose home and look forward to witnessing how these experiences unfold through her renewed practice. She has returned inspired, transformed, and ready to share an even deeper expression of healing, love, and connection with the Sacred Ground community.
Welcoming New Practitioners
We’re excited to welcome several new practitioners to the Sacred Ground community this month.

Renee
A Reiki Master whose own health journey led her to healing work. Supported by her husband, Paul, and her beloved dogs, Renee offers Reiki on a love-donation basis while completing her practice hours. Sign up to hold your spot.
Kate of Nurturing Spirit
Some people become so deeply woven into a community that it’s hard to imagine the space without them. Kate has been part of Sacred Ground from the very beginning, sharing her warmth, creativity, and many talents — guiding meditation, teaching her Wheel of the Year class, offering chakra balancing, and creating her aromatherapy blends. She is truly part of the fabric of Sacred Ground.
We are honored to carry her Nurturing Spirit line in the shop. You’ll find aromatic oil blends for meditation, relaxation, and everyday wear, with collections inspired by the chakras, the archangels, and the signs of the zodiac. Kate also teaches the Wheel of the Year through its turning Sabbats — Litha, Mabon, Samhain, and the rest — and creates a special blend for each. Personalized blends are available through a private consultation.
Every piece is thoughtfully made: ingredients chosen as naturally and sustainably as possible, then infused with Reiki, crystals, and a blessing of loving energy for whoever receives it.
Nurturing Spirit is more than a line of handcrafted products. It is an expression of Kate herself — grounded in knowledge, guided by intuition, and made with deep care for the whole person.
We are profoundly grateful for all Kate has brought to Sacred Ground, and delighted to celebrate her in this month’s spotlight.
This Month’s Arrivals & Gatherings
Deneene is now ready to unveil the ancient Tibetan artifacts she brought home from Berlin — a prayer wheel among them — now available at Sacred Ground. Alongside Rose’s Egypt, it’s a month of ancient wisdom gathered from across the world. Come see them in person.
A restorative evening of Reiki and sound designed to release stress, reconnect you with your inner wisdom, and offer nurturing healing energy — with sound healer Kate and Reiki practitioners Tina and Mary
Facilitated by Mary G. — an intentionally guided gathering to reconnect with your inner truth, align with your heart’s desires, and be seen, supported, and witnessed as you name what you’re calling in.
Featured This Month: Ancient Wisdom
To echo Rose’s Egypt and Deneene’s Tibet, this month’s Library picks lean into ancient cultures, sacred geometry, and the great question of who built — and why — the monuments that still puzzle us.
The provocative case that a lost, advanced culture left its mark on monuments like the Great Pyramid — a doorway into the very questions our Observatory keeps asking. Read it as exploration, not gospel.
A documentary series on sacred geometry, ancient knowledge, and the deeper purpose the pyramids may have served — including the “power grid” ideas that fascinate us.
Grounded, accessible conversations with archaeologists — look for the episodes on Egypt and the Great Pyramid for the scholarly counterpoint to the mysteries.
Our own Egyptian playlist: ceremonial sounds, desert ambience, and ancient rhythm to carry Rose’s Egypt into your own space. Copy it into Spotify or Apple Music and press play.
For more on the pyramids as ancient technology — possible power grids and points of contact — spend time in our Observatory’s New Frontier, where science, wonder, and open questions meet.
A Quiet Harvest Ritual
Set aside five quiet minutes. Light a candle if you have one nearby. Ask yourself three questions, and write down whatever comes — no editing, no judging the answer:
- What did I carry all summer that I’m ready to set down?
- What grew in me this season that no one else can see yet?
- What am I already becoming, whether I’ve admitted it or not?
Keep what you wrote somewhere you’ll find it again in winter. Quiet harvests are easy to forget once the season moves on — this is how you hold onto yours.
