Canadian-born Martha Collard arrived in Hong Kong in 1986 for a career in executive search and management consulting. After 28 years in that field, she left corporate life at the end of 2014 to become a gong player, following what she describes as a life-changing gong bath experience. She founded Red Doors Studio in Hong Kong, now home to Asias largest private collection of gongs, with 55 and counting. She performs internationally for a wide range of clients, from five-star hotels such as The Mandarin Oriental and Rosewood, to corporate audiences including KPMG and Lululemon, to the Global Wellness Summit. Her recorded collaborations with the artist Syn blend gong sound with ambient and natural elements, including a soundtrack created for a luxury hotel spa in London.
