Founder of the Sound Healers Association (1982) and a foundational figure in the modern sound-healing field, having studied with the Dalai Lamas Chanting Gyuto and Gyume Monks and been empowered by the Chant Master of Drepung Loseling Monastery to teach Tibetan Overtone Chanting. Pioneered techniques including Vowels As Mantras and Overtoning, and has been named one of Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazines 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People. His album Chakra Chants won the 1999 Visionary Award for both Best Healing-Meditation Album and Album of the Year.
