H. Takahashi
H. Takahashi is a Tokyo-born ambient musician and architect who founded the Kankyo Records shop and label. He began composing on an iPhone in 2014 and released early work on the US label Not Not Fun; in 2016 he formed the ambient group Unknown Me with Yakenohara, P-Ruff, and Yudai Osawa. His releases include Orange (2023), inspired by an essential oil evoking daytime, and BGM, an environmental-music work built around vibraphone and marimba tones designed as “music for public spaces.” His catalog has also appeared on Constellation Tatsu, Where to Now?, Muzan Editions, and White Paddy Mountain.
