Douglas Spotted Eagle (born Douglas Wallentine, 1962, Iowa) is a musician and audio engineer who is not Native American himself; he was raised in a non-Native family and is married to a Diné (Navajo) woman. He began building and playing the Native American-style flute at age 12 and has released 13 albums blending it with jazz, new age, and world-beat production, describing the result as “modern ethnic” music. He won a Grammy Award for his production work on the Gathering of Nations Powwow recording.
