Bing & Ruth
Bing & Ruth
Bing and Ruth is an ensemble led by Brooklyn-based pianist David Moore, born 1983 in Topeka, Kansas, into a family of preachers and musicians. Founded in 2006 to bring his conservatory training outside academia, the project performs post-minimalist music with a cinematic sensibility, prioritizing grace and texture. Their self-released debut, City Lake (2010), was followed by Tomorrow Was the Golden Age (RVNG Intl., 2014) and No Home of the Mind (4AD, 2017); the group has evolved from a fifteen-piece ensemble down to a trio on their most recent album, Species.
