Australian composer and producer Tony O’Connor (1961-2010) sold more than three and a half million albums over a two-decade career built on relaxation-focused instrumental music, often layered with field-recorded nature sounds. His collaborations with wildlife photographer Steve Parish produced themed collections including Uluru, Kakadu, and Rainforest Magic; he described his own work simply as music therapy. He died in 2010 from glioblastoma.
