Born Hanna Raniszewska in 1990 in Gdansk, Poland, Hania Rani began piano at seven, trained classically, and studied further in Warsaw and Berlin before settling in London. Her delicate, minimalist playing blends classical, jazz, and electronic influences. Her 2019 debut solo album, Esja (Gondwana Records), won Discovery of the Year at Polands Empik Bestseller Awards; her follow-up, Ghosts, included guest appearances by Patrick Watson and Olafur Arnalds. Her recent symphonic work, Non Fiction: Piano Concerto in Four Movements, was performed with the Manchester Collective.
