Patricia Wolf

Ambient & Atmospheric

Patricia Wolf is a musician, sound designer, and curator based in Portland, Oregon, first known as a member of synth-pop outfit Soft Metals before moving toward gentler ambient work. A 2017 commission to score a live reimagining of Jean Cocteaus Beauty and the Beast led her to slow down and introduce field recordings into her process for the first time. Her 2022 debut solo album, Ill Look For You In Others, documented a period of bereavement and heartbreak, followed by the more hopeful See-Through, along with Decomposition: Fox on a Highway and Hrafnamynd.

Mood and energy: Emotive, hypnotic, field-recording based. Recommended uses: Reflection.
