Danit was born and raised in Los Angeles in a musical family, began piano at eight and violin and guitar at ten, and trained as a coloratura soprano vocal performance major at UC Santa Barbara. After touring professionally with cover bands and recovering from a serious neck and hand injury, she redirected her career toward music immersed in indigenous traditional healing cultures, performing ceremonial music and original songs to help perpetuate those traditions. Albums include Aliento and Cuatro Vientos, with songs Naturaleza and Guacamayo.
