Yemanjo is the recording name of producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer Ben Harris, from Californias Bay Area. His music began as an organic and electronic exploration of South American shamanic music and grew to include West African and Middle Eastern influences, resulting in a fusion of downtempo, folktronica, and organic house. His experiences ranged from parading with samba blocos in Brazil to studying sacred plant medicines with shamans in Colombia. His 2024 album La Misma Fuente, released on Wonderwheel Recordings, features his own live trumpet woven through acoustic and electronic production.
