Andrew Vasquez is a member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma (Kiowa Apache). He began his career as a traditional dancer with the New York-based American Indian Dance Theater before taking up the Native American flute, and won the Native American Music Award for Best Male Artist in 2000. He has released four albums through Makoche Records.
